5 ways I’d change the KHL…

added 8/28/08 – writers note:  I have changed my focus from the NHL to the KHL.  “F” it.  If I can’t change the NHL, maybe I can change the KHL and lead it to world domination.  My league would devour the NHL.

 

This has been a good ongoing topic on yahoo’s NHL blog.  The comments being posted leave a lot to be desired, as do the ideas of the writers.  Mine are revolutionary and I think they would improve the game and take hockey to new heights in popularity.

I discovered hockey…

Let’s hear how you discovered hockey.  Were you born on the ice?  Did you go to a game as a kid, or as an adult, and fall in love with the game?  For me it was illness and espn.

Are the Kings looking to compete?

The NHL is the premier hockey league on the planet, right?  So what is going on in Los Angeles?  According to Forbes 2008 rankings of the worlds wealthiest humans, Kings owner Big Phil Anschutz ranks #89 on the list.  (http://www.forbes.com/lists/2006/10/DSAK.html)  But, take a glance at where his club’s payroll currently hovers and you’ll see that it’s scraping the bottom of the barrel.
